Why was George Galloway MP, unable to say if the Bangadeshis who have lost their money to 'First Solution' will get it back?

The Muhammad Haque daily world political commentary

Brick Lane continues to dominate as the physical symbol of home territory for UK Bangladeshis…

So much so that it is the first destination in peoples mind whenever the Bangladeshi community across the UK is hit by a major problem.

It is also the place where any positive event affecting the Bangladeshis is marked in symbolic ways.

As has been seen in the past week or so over the theft of the cash from ordinary Bangladeshis who used an outfit called ‘First Solution’ to remit badly needed cash to their relations and families in Bangladesh.

But Brick Lane is being misrepresented again… as was shown on the ITV London bulletin featuring ‘local MP’ [Bethnal Green and Bow] George Galloway who was given a few clips in the package fronted by Ronkie Phillips and as broadcast.

The apparent peg the alleged activities by Galloway in ‘helping the Bangladeshis whose money had been stolen. But the end quote from Galloway did not come across as if even he knew what was going on.

And therein lies the problem which I had planned in the morning I would be examining in the later parts of my commentary during the day [Thursday 5 July 2007].

What indeed are the political tools available to the likes of George Galloway who are holding ‘elected’ offices at various levels in the name of the people in the East London inner city Borough of Tower Hamlets?

Are they the same as those being used and manipulated by the ones ‘in control’ of the various ‘elected bodies and positions’ ?

If George Galloway and his ‘aides’ think that the political tools are the same as those being relied on and deployed by the controlling clique on the local Tower Hamlets Council then they would be wrong.

So, do Galloway and his ‘aides’ think like the controlling clique?

If they don’t then what is the evidence that they, George Galloway e t a, are providing an alternative to the corrupt clique?

It is my contention, as it has been for a very long time as based on the evidence that I find, that the local Tower Hamlets Council remains in the control of a deeply corrupt clique.

And it is further my contention that the same clique is very closely inked with several elements that have been engaged in robbing the community of the precious cash now acknowledged to have been stone.

It is also my view on the evidence that the ‘Opposition’ ‘Respect’ councillors on Tower Hamlets Council have not been making use of the constitutional options available to them – as those options would be available to any OTHER group of genuinely opposition councillors on the council- to force a political process to come into being that would have exposed the various illegalities, immoralities and corrupt activities being engaged in by the controlling clique on Tower Hamlets Council.
